Certificate granted by the doctors in regard to the existence of trachoma.
The undersigned doctors hereby certify that, at the instance of the China Commercial Steamship Company Limited they have examined the eyes of 412 persons of Chinese nationality on board the steamer "Suisang" anchored in the bay of Salina Cruz on the below mentioned date: the result of the examination of the above mentioned persons is as follows:
127 were found to be suffering from various illnesses amongst other trachoma, and no sign of this disease was found on 285.
